In this new edition, many changes have been implemented in order to favor the participants. The first of these is that the duration of Group A has been extended to 10 rounds (1 more than in previous years), in order to facilitate the awarding of standards. The minimum ELO to access this group has also been increased to 2,150 FIDE. The rules and requirements for access to the different groups are available at https://www.elllobregat.com/openchess/es/regulaciones-generales As in previous editions, a Blitz Masters (a rapid tournament) will be held on November 28th in the same room as the main tournament. This tournament is reserved for Grand Masters and players with more than 2,500 ELO points, which guarantees a very high level of competition. It is expected that between 300 and 370 players will participate in this edition, distributed among the different groups. Our goal, as every year, is to offer a unique gaming experience for each of the participants, and a level of competition at the level of the top tournaments in the world.
