Last Sunday December 1st was held the 3rd edition of the School Chess Tournament, in collaboration with Drac Artcai, as part of the events of the 5th edition of the Llobregat Open Chess Tnmt. Dozens of participants, including U-16 federated players, schoolchildren and parents, competed in a family atmosphere that combined sport and solidarity.
The tournament brought together students of various ages and levels, both federated and non-federated, with the aim of promoting chess in the educational and family environment. The competitive and friendly atmosphere allowed participants to learn and share experiences, making the tournament a key educational and sports platform in the region. In addition to the school tournament, the Drac Artcai Solidarity Chess Tournament was also held, where parents and fans could participate together with the youngsters. This solidarity event aimed to raise funds for the association Drac Artcai, which works in the emotional care of hospitalized children. Both tournaments not only strengthened the interest in chess, but also highlighted the event’s commitment to social causes, consolidating its relevance both in the sporting and solidarity fields. A record 144 children registered for the tournament.
